Port Coquitlam doesn't have a pumpkin patch or a corn maze of its own, but between a home-haunt display on Rae Street and the City's own family programs, there is a real local Halloween here. What PoCo does not have is a big commercial attraction - for the maze-and-patch part of the season it is a short drive east to Maple Ridge - but the things it does have are worth knowing about.

Nightmare on Rae Street
Nightmare on Rae Street, at 3313 Rae St, is a home-haunt display, with skeletons, props and lights filling the yard and the front of the house. For 2026 it opened on Friday, October 16 at 5pm and runs nightly from 5 to 10pm through Halloween (one listing runs it to November 1). It collects donations for SHARE Society, which is the part worth knowing: it is not a commercial haunted house, it is a display that a household puts on and the neighborhood has decided to support.
It is worth a slow walk-past or a drive-by even if you are not trick-or-treating on that street. It is a residential street, so park clear of driveways, stay on the sidewalk, and keep children close. The donation box is genuinely part of the display rather than an afterthought, and SHARE does real work in the Tri-Cities.
A second home haunt, Stormy's Cemetery at 1493 Celeste Crescent, is listed by Family Fun Vancouver for October 18 to 31, 6 to 9pm. We found only that one listing, so check before you make a special trip.
Halloween Howl
The City's own Halloween Howl runs on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre in two sessions, 11:30am to 1pm and 2 to 3:30pm, at $10 per child with one adult free. Both sessions are now full, with waitlists, so join the waitlist through the City's registration site rather than turning up on the day.
Two more municipal programs sit on Halloween itself. The City's Halloween Spooky Skate runs on Saturday, October 31, 2:30 to 4pm at Port Coquitlam Community Centre, with registration, and City Hall is lit orange and black all day.
Safety and fireworks rules
Port Coquitlam allows residents to set off fireworks on Halloween, but only with a City permit. A permit costs $30 for low-hazard fireworks ($250 for high-hazard) and is applied for in person at the City Hall Tax Office, 2580 Shaughnessy Street; it is valid on October 31 until 11pm. Fireworks are allowed only on private property with the owner's consent — never on roads, parks, trails or sports fields — and the person setting them off must be 18 or older. Roman candles, firecrackers, bottle rockets and screechers are banned, selling fireworks in the city is prohibited, and the fine is $500 per incident. City Hall is closed on Saturdays, so apply by Friday, October 30 (City Hall is open 8:30am to 4:30pm); the City's page still shows last year's deadline.
The City's "Stay Safe this Halloween" guidance (posted in 2025, and still sound) covers flame-resistant costumes, keeping open flames away from decorations, and basic smoke-alarm and escape-plan reminders. Beyond that the standard applies: reflective gear, crossing at crosswalks, an adult with the younger children, and checking any unwrapped treats.
So: Rae Street for the local tradition and the donation, Hyde Creek or the community centre for a structured family session, and a permit if anyone is planning fireworks. For the maze and pumpkin patch, that is a short drive east to Maple Ridge rather than something happening in PoCo itself.

What Is Not Happening
There is no pumpkin patch or corn maze in Port Coquitlam and no city-wide trick-or-treat hour. Fireworks without a permit, on public property, or after 11pm on Halloween are not allowed. If you have seen a Halloween listing that is not in this article, check it on the organizer's or the City's own site before you go; dates drift year to year.
The basics for the night are the same everywhere: go in a group, carry a light, cross at a crosswalk, and check anything unwrapped before a child eats it.
